What is the London Bierfest all about?

The London Bierfest is an event exclusively for corporates – an ideal space for networking, entertaining business contacts or rewarding employees. Established in 2003, the London Bierfest brings the spirit of the Munich Oktoberfest to the City of London. London Bierfest transforms Old Billingsgate Market into a buzzing German celebration adorned with flags, banners, traditional German food and fantastic live entertainment – and, of course, unlimited steins of beer!

When and where?

London Bierfest takes place at Old Billingsgate Market over two days:

  • Thursday 19 October 2017 from 18.00-23.00
  •  Friday 20 October 2017 from 13.00-18.00 

How do I get there?

Situated in the heart of the city, London Bierfest is held at Old Billingsgate Market on Lower Thames Street.

You can reach Old Billingsgate Market by car, or public transport. The nearest car park is Tower Hill Car & Coach Park on Lower Thames Street. The nearest tubes are Monument (District, Circle and Northern lines) and London Bridge (Northern and Jubliee lines).

How do I get home?

You can leave Old Billingsgate Market by car, foot, public transport or cab. The nearest tubes are Monument (District, Circle and Northern lines) and London Bridge (Northern and Jubilee lines). Black cabs can be hailed from Lower Thames Street. It is recommended to plan your journey home via pre-booked cabs. The address of the London Bierfest is:

How many people per table?

There is seated space for 10 people per table. If you would like to make a booking, please contact Georgina.Hawkes@img.com.

Can I bring extra people?

Of course! Please note that as tables are booked for groups of 10, extra guests may not be able to have a seat all night but that is another reason to get straight on the dance floor! If you would like to add people to your existing booking, or make a new booking, please contact Georgina.Hawkes@img.com.

When will I get my tickets?

Your entry to the London Bierfest will be via a wristband. The wristbands for the table, along with an information pack, will be posted out to the lead booker at the end of September. 

Can I dress up?

While fancy dress is not compulsory, it is encouraged! Come along in your finest lederhosen and dirndl’s, complete with flaxen hair and beer goggles. Props will be also available to buy at the time of your booking but if you feel under dressed on the night, you will be able to buy accessories at the London Bierfest too.

Is the site wheelchair-accessible?

Yes Old Billingsgate is wheelchair-accessible. Please get in touch in advance to outline any specific needs so we can make your visit as smooth as possible.

Can I order extra food?

The platters should be sufficient for a table of 10 but if you are feeling extra hungry or have additional people to cater for on your table, you are able to order additional platters. Please contact Georgina.Hawkes@img.com to book your extra food!

Will there be food for vegetarians/vegans?

Yes, there will be vegetarian and vegan options. In order to be able to provide for specific dietary requirements, please inform Nicola.Manwaring@img.com.

I have a nut/dairy/seafood allergy, can I still come to London Bierfest?

Yes, there will be nut, dairy or seafood free options. In order to be able to provide for specific dietary requirements, please inform Nicola.Manwaring@img.com

Is there anything else to drink apart from beer?

If beer is not your tipple of choice, there is wine and cider available at the London Bierfest, as well as a small selection of soft drinks; just ask your Heidi or Helga for a glass of what you fancy.

Are there cash points on site?

There are no cash points within the building however there is a cash point close by on Lower Thames Street.
